Summer 2021 was out first full term back face to face after the various Covid-19 lockdowns. We ran 12 weeks of paddling, using Canoe’s Kayaks and stand up paddleboards. A big favorite was also the mega-board which is a 10 person paddle board.

Summer camp 2021

This year we were at Ferny Croft in the New Forest. Usually filled to capacity, Ferny Ceroft camp site was a little eerie at one point as we were the only group on site for one night.

This was our largest camp in recent years and in between Covid tests we built bridges, a bosun’s chair, we threw axes, chopped with axes, gutted fish, hiked, hiked some more etc.

Hunting the Haggis

In order to meet scouts in a different country we teamed up with a group in St Andrew’s and celebrated Burns Night, starting with hunting the haggis.

Zombie apocalypse

Desperate to get out during the summer after a term of lockdown we ventured into Epping Forest to make our own Zombie movies…

Necker passing
